I spent 5 hours walking the camera today, beautiful early Spring day, and made just over 100 photographs. It was very difficult to make a selection for this evenings posting and there were many super shots that had to be left out. I was strict with my choices but still ended up with a selection of 10.
Tomorrow I cross the country to Viareggio to visit Vittore Baroni, so tomorrow's blog is from there. I have learned the camera technique to photograph from the train so with any luck (and clean windows) there will be some pictures. I'll be back here in Venice on Monday accompanied by Mr. Baroni so that I can make his portrait in the post office. Todays crop here above.

simply put; nothing goes into nothing and nothing comes out of it.
rock I.
I walked for 5 hours today, my feet are protesting and arguing with my socks. I shall take a shower, eat some carrots and then select some photos to place here.
The reasons I came here... to photograph Italian artist/poet friends and make a work of audio art... are going along a pace. I recorded more sound samples today (wind still, so good recordings) and have had contact with three of the sitters with suggested dates and locations.
until later, a refreshed later!

Far be it for me to tempt fate amigo Medwolf but (he said firmly grasping a piece of raw wood in his right hand) as yet I have seen no rats. Wisdom tells me they are there as rats rule, but the streets are kept scrupiously clean and are thick with the thudding foot falls of tourists during the day so they probably do their overground frollicking at night when I am either bolted to this screen or tucked up beneath the wool of my blanket. My thanks for your compliment. It will be grand if you visit me in Maastricht where we also have rats, but there they wear clogs so we always know when they are about.
best greetings

I'm here until the 23rd of March. Thanks for the comments, most of your praise should go to Venice itself and the cities photogenic nature, I can't wait to get out there again tomorrow when I'm heading for the Academy area, let us hope this splendid weather holds.
The alley with the 'feet off the ground fellow' is my favourite, I am so pleased with this picture.
I have to remember that I am here to make an audio work also!
