The landing event was especially surreal given my locale at the time. I was listening to a short wave radio, sitting with a group of islanders on Ujelang (relocation site for H-bomb evacuees from Eniwetok) in the Marshall Islands, Micronesia. They all dismissed the landing as impossible and jokingly inquired whether there were coconut trees on the Moon.

I was able to scan this, ever so carefully, as the newspaper is sooo fragile.

I found the folder where I'd saved the newspaper, which is quite fragile now. I was able to scan a portion of the front page and an inside page. Amazing now as it was then.

July 22, Wednesday, and the moon just blocked out the sun in India and Bangladesh...in one area for 6 minutes and 39 seconds! 'Must have been the mailman delivering all our mail art to the moon, he really has to be more careful. (Total solar eclipse!)

It is possible to send mail art to Mars!
Ruud, you have an official NASA certificate.
Wonder when the postman picks up the mail-
for-Mars again?
