we had a perfect view of the eclipse here in york, england uk. i watched it all happen ... cloudless sky, frost laden trees and the river frozen over for the first time, it is said, since 1932. i didn't take photographs. it didnt seem like the thing to do. i saw it, it is in my memory, that is enough. for the last quarter of the darkening it was the start of our rush hour. the roads and strrets filling up with people on their way heaven knows where. no one looked up, no one ever does.
i wint be here for the next one in 94. maybe none of us will. a lot will happen between now and then.

...a total eclipse of moon.. Can say to be fortunate.. because is later the first time 456 yearses!

Here in Greece the moon had already set :-(  at 6:30 am

The moon had already set about 6:30 am when the eclipse began, so the East Coast of USA had a beautiful show! Great photos of the Washington Monument and the copper moon! Well, now to wait until 2014...to see what we can see!

January 4, 2011, I might be in Athens...a 58% solar eclipse will be seen, if there are no clouds...we shall see what we shall see.

Thanks, I will try to watch it then and maybe have a better lens although I was hanging off my balcony to view it and I didn't want to drop the camera from the 11th floor!!!

Next up is 2014 I think, I missed the 1638 too.  I am half asleep in the office, keep hitting the wrong keys.

The eclipse was wonderful and visible in Washington, DC as was the earlier full moon, I do not have a good scope on my camera and it didn't come out right, and  it is very cold here.  Happy Winter Solstice.  Possible snow coming here!!!
