No moon? But Winter Solstice...one year away from THE day, 2012?

For now...PEACE to all here, and on the moon ;-)

Happy holidays!

The comment say

(Hotspotmedia/Visual Press Agency) http://www.lefigaro.fr/photos/2011/12/05/01013-20111205DIMWWW00456-...

Great photos, mim and Judy!

December Moon in Celtic times was called the "Cold moon", yes indeedy, Susan. For the Chinese it is the "Bitter Moon", American Indians Cherokee: "Snow Moon", Dakota Sioux: "12th Moon", Choctaw: "Peach Moon"... nice Full Moon, I call it "Blurrrrr Moon"!

Shot at 400, so you can see the trees somewhat. This is when I wish I had one of those super-duper cameras with a really good lens. What a beautiful moon tonight in Richmond, Virginia, USA

I think our eclipse is later, maybe 3:30 am

Thank you, Mim. Hope you have a clear night sky, the eclipse should be early as the full moon is rising...might be orange to red wine color. "On a winter's night...when the moon is full "
