Even though it makes sense that we can look on each others profiles, you may want to add your address here and any blogs or other accounts you want highlighted. This way it's in a closed environment and we all get to share.

What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

Spiffing. That's pretty British right? I'm gonna go with spiffing ;)

Andy, please let Jay know that I think he's an absolute (insert best British word here for terrific person.) Okay I'll just say - he's a terrific person and an all around terrific friend. Yay, Jay. Yay, Andy.

Ahoy there folks - some good news - My programmer friend Jay has done some magic and we have thumbnails back! yay! Check out the thumbnails at the end of each post now as before.

Also he's added dates to the posts. I always used to get confused when people posted their pieces so I requested it and voila! Done!

A little bad news though - we've had some moron decide to spam the comments a bit. I've removed them all of course. As everyone who posts comments from the group obviously has a blogger account, I've decided to remove anonymous posting now as well so as to avoid this in future. I know this may affect some people like Dewi and Katerina but think it's for the greater good. Hope nobody minds, but I've looked at all the comments in the last week and they were all made by logged in users, so I don't think it will affect anyone.

Let me know what you think

Hi everyone

As some of you are aware, I started a YouTube channel a few weeks ago, where (among other things) I'll be making monthly videos to showcase the mailart I receive. (The first one can be seen here http://youtu.be/kh3Bcm9xWRI)

I'd like to create a special one-off video around my birthday (14th April) full of 'Unusual' or Extreme Mailart. I'm thinking the type of stuff you see on the 'Extremem mailart' group (plastic toys, bits of wood, found objects etc), but the interpretation is up to you. If you don't feel confident posting your art 'naked', I'm happy to receive things in packages, but naked would be good ;)

I'll still be doing a monthly video as usual, for all the postcards, boekies etc, but anything that I (or you) think is particularly unusual or extreme will go into this extra special video. My hope is that I can spread the word of the network, mailart in general, and of course show off your amazing efforts to the world while entertaining my subscribers :)

If you'd like to take part, please send your unusual pieces to:

REMEMBER I will be making the video on/around the 14th April, so post at the end of March to be sure of reaching me in time.

Thanks in advance! :)

Hi Rebecca! Hi Andy and Elena. Did Andy pop-in while skydiving? Oh wow, there's one of my higher number pieces in that photo. Thanks for including me in the meet up.

Early preview of a REAL wall that I took earlier today with some 365 post...AND 365 finalist Rebecca Guyver in the background!

Yes folks, another Mailart 365 meetup happened today in Suffolk when me and Elena stayed over at the Guyver household! A great time was had by all! :-)
