Even though it makes sense that we can look on each others profiles, you may want to add your address here and any blogs or other accounts you want highlighted. This way it's in a closed environment and we all get to share.

What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

Gabby you can resize once it's up on the site. Just go into the "compose" tab and select the picture, then you should be able to choose a different size

Gabby, that's what Matt does also. He has something really cute on his web site. I posted the link on the discussion forum. Cool!

Thanks for the tips Superhero. I mainly post from flickr so I rarely encounter the limits.

@Mim I'm really not sure what my default is yet. I did make another "label and trace" this week when stuck, which I love doing but I wonder if a default artistic style is something that artists cultivate over time.

@andy: there is a daily limit here, 30 pictures i think.

i hit that limit far too often, so a lot of times i use picasa, mostly when i know i'm going to upload a lot of pictures.

even if you hit your max, you can still upload, they just get downscaled. but you have to use the web, email won't work once you hit the max, i believe.

Oh another thing I want to share, my friend Matt, who's an amazing artist, asked me the other day what my default was (huh?) when I went into the studio and didn't have any ideas? His default is to paint a blue sky and some clouds then wait for something to come to him to continue on. I thought about that and realized that I do have a default. SO I think it's good for each of us to think of what our default is. New discussion to begin, I'll post the topic.

I have an old school LG flip phone. Not 3G or 4G or iPhone or Droid. Just an simple phone that also takes some pretty darn good pix! I am pretty tech savvy for someone of my generation that remembers when an operator asked one for the number one was calling. uh hun, I remember that!   oooh can't wait to get my envie!

Hi Gabby - I suspect that it's an issue with blogger running out of storage on picasa. Blogger stores all it's images for all it's blogs in picasaweb and you oare limited to 1gb, which should be plenty. You can check how much you've used, by going to https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/settings#storage

Anyway, I've been testing and it seems that you may be onto something when you suggest uploading the pics here Gabby. If you upload them here, you can use IUOMA to host your pics for the blog.

Check it out at http://playgroundforandy.blogspot.com/2011/06/test-post-for-gabby.html

To do this is pretty easy. Just upload your pics to IUOMA, then when you get to the "upload pictures" bit on blogger for MA365, instead of uploading a picture, go to "Use picture from URL"

To get the URL of the picture click the "View full size" link on the pic you want to use. Just paste that address into the URL bit.

Oh gosh that sounded really hard, but it isn't!
