What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

I am so thrilled! I can't believe it's actually the day and people are making their 365th pieces. It's been amazing!

Mim, Katerina, Boo & Dewi, Congratulations on finishing up the year of doing mail art for 365 days!!! You all have been an inspiration to those of us that joined later and will be plugging away for a few more weeks or months. I must confess that I also feel sadness that you are done and leaving us on a daily basis. It feels like a good friend that is moving to another city and you won't see as often. I hope you all will do as Mim will be doing, stopping back visit all of us! Did I miss JJ, I think she finished too.

I just wrote about the year on my blogger blog.

I'll visit here and give encouragement. I know many more of you will complete your journey.

A blurry photo (I was all teary eyed) of my three little notebooks that hold the record of my mailings. I made and sent a total of 704 pieces of mail art during this project. I just did the final count (I think I'd stopped noting the total at 600) and was amazed. I'm going to stop now and toast my accomplishment!  I wish you were all here so we could celebrate together!

It is #365 day today...and in less than an hour in Greece,

it will be December 1...the day when it all began a year ago. OPA!

I'm dancing :-)

Congratulations Mim! Your #365 are beautiful painted landscapes! What a creative energy, after 364 days of bits and pieces, minimal collages and Tiny Towns, and then WOW: painting! Go girl! You know we will not stop "making"! xx

t was a good commitment to do 365 in 365 days...and sometimes many more. But this project really keeps you focused on "making" and that is the joy during the year's journey. I found ALL my mailing lists, so i have a record of which card, which day, which number and to whom the mail art was sent! I used monthly charts, and filled in with pencil often, changing to whom I sent for a specific day. There are 365 spaces, but of course many more than 365 recipents!

The "Special" dates/ numbers went to Andy : # 1, #100, #200, #300, #365

also #265 (100-to-go) and #340 (25-to-go) and #355 (10-to-go).What fun to look back and see what was accomplished in 365 days!
