Received work from E coles, Carmela Rizzuto, Tiziana Baracchi and Michael Leigh today.  I made the arbitrary decision that E coles was first because I picked it up first.  I have blogged it at: http://monosemikodachrome.blogspot.co.uk and will the rest of the work there soon!  Thank you all SO MUCH for kicking things off.  I will reply to you very soon.  I have also blogged this one at:

http://thepostalleger.blogspot.co.uk

and on the various IUOMA facebook pages.  Many thanks!

That's one of the things about mail art, it is open to every interpretation! I was aiming at a wide interpretation.  No limit in size, technique or number of entries. Look forward to multiple entries from as wide a group as possible.

Pimlott is a music charity. One of the things they do is go into schools and work with children in exciting musical ways.  They just got funding from Arts Council England too and there will be a visual arts component - exciting!

Apparently Daniela, whose husband was Steven Pimlott and who founded the charity, she will be encouraging a friend and mail artist: Duncan McAskill to send stuff and display his other art. From reading about him, he may be known in the network?

Imagine the days of "kodachrome" are not known to many?

Ah, "at my age" I should expect that it would be "vintage", as i am :-)

I will definitely be sending some things, Rebecca.

There is no limit to technique? size? how many contributions?

kodachrome arty slides???

Hi Rebecca--count me in for Monochrome Semitone Kodachrome. I found musical definitions for semitone and kodachrome (the latter also a type of Arabian horse)--sounds like a fun evening.

okay--because you no there is no way I can do a literal interpretation of anything:)  (i've tried)

Ha, ha, Diane, I'm all for creative interpretations! The thing to do is to send me lots of stuff and then It'll be a diverse, experimental, magnificent show!

The other two shows will be 'old time fever' (for Maine) and 'Maritime', I think, for Ipswich.

YOU DO have appropriate trash, though.

p.s. if so you are the only one with colorful trash:)
