I am sad to share the news that our colleague and friend, Lutz Anders, passed away on 15 April. He was a multi-talented man who devoted much of his energy to the community. His initiatives were among the most interesting, and the collective exhibitions and meticulously edited catalogues he curated brought joy to many members of the community.

You may be interested in reading the obituaries by Susanne and Lars Schumacher, as well as an article about – some – of his areas of interest.
Both are in German but can be easily understood if you translate them with Google or DeepL.

I have received a mail art call report document once From him. Sad to hear he passed away... Rest in Peace.

I also learned of his passing through Stephan. Although our exchanges were few, they stayed with me. It was also the first time I received mail art in a more personal setting, beyond my early call activities last year.

Sad to year. He was an inspiration for Mail Art calls and great shows and documentation. Will be missed.

I heard about it a few days ago from Stephan Mitterwieser. Last summer, less than a year ago, I was fortunate enough to exchange some mail art with Lutz.
