I have just spent a day working on my artistamp album which is coming along quite nicely.  I have decided to include a few pages that will be "about" specific people, for instance, I have started a "homage to Duchamp" page (which has only one stamp on it at the moment ... a Hungarian stamp of the Mona Lisa with a moustache drawn on it).  I was thinking of having a page devoted (if that is the right word) to Yoko Ono who, through her connection with a certain Beatle, was my first introduction to what was then generally labeled as "conceptual" art. So having made that decision I now have to find things to go on the page.  I have a copy of the "peace tower" stamp which is a start but if anyone has any other bright ideas or stamps they could exchange I would be gratefull.  As I understand it, the 18th february will be her 78th Birthday (can that really be right?) so maybe something posted on that day would be good???  Has anyone done any Ono stamps??

My latest idea is to obtain for myself a sheet of white, perfed stamp paper which I will then mount on the album page as-is.  The idea then is that everyone who "visits" the album will be asked to write on a stamp ... along the lines of Y O's Wishing trees.  Not sure if this is practical or just daft but there it is subject to change by inspiration.

I had a sheet of Ono stamps arrive in the post today so I may have started something!!!

If you are on Twitter and are following Yoko, she has a Q and A ( you need to hashtag it #YokoQandA) where you can ask her anything and she will answer you back on her web page. You could always forward her a question and use her response as part of your piece.

You have a nice idea though. Yoko doesn't get enough credit if you ask me.

The Peace Tower stamp is a "real" one from greenland.  I have it on the First Day of Issue cover which is printed to look like one of the labels she uses for her various "Wishing Tree" projects,  It is the nearest I shall get to a "real" Ono piece so a good start to the page
