When is the Goddamned Year of the Corgi?

Angie had the jump on the Chinese New Year. I got this a while back but as our own Chinese New Year Horse was just finished last night I thought I'd share them both now. It's supposed to be a year of change. No comment. Let's hope, for the sake of those looking for work, that that is the case. Great piece, Angie. (What exactly is the technique here? Monoprint?)

This year we opened up the painting to everyone at a Chinese New Year dinner party. The result was this merry go round (Wooden, Katerina) horse.

Happy New Year. And thank you, Angie.

You mean did I make it from scratch? I took a picture of a Leapin' Lippizaner, traced it and then created some wheels in illustrator and took the whole thing back into photoshop and applied some texture filters. Not really any big thing...but I liked the way it come out...sorta...the vision I had was more planks and nails...
