Here is a better view of the "Real Art" at the bottom of Diane's box of half eaten chocolates. Chocolate Not It's a cool Trashpo diaphragm made from things Diane found in the CVS parking lot, all framed by a rave poster from the Church of the Light of Christ, a popular nightclub in Elgin. Thanks again, Diane. Be sure to check out Diane's Blues, a new youtube which is positively faux Warholian in a cinematic way.

Svenja has the light touch when it comes to classic collage in the Max Ernst mold. The kiss of death was never sweeter. Thank you, Svenja.

Jon has sent me several things lately but this one captures the pure Rosenquistian nature of his sticky assemblages. (Don't you think I could write for ArtForum?) For those of you who have not yet experienced Jon's music I highly recommend it. The Nostrils will probably not be appearing at the Church of Christ's Light any time soon but they do belong in rotation on your iPod. Why? Because Jon's music is the perfect palate cleanser for the bombast, emotional puffery and megalomaniacal over-production that constitutes most contemporary music. As far as subject matter goes Jon tackles the big themes that most pop ignores. Issues like "Work Food" and "People Taking Pictures of their Food" and various hair related themes. Here's the way I recommend Jon's music be served: don't listen to 18 songs in a row. Add it to your collection, then put your music on shuffle and let his songs burble up in an organic way. It's a great mood changer, believe me. Thank you, Jon.

Thanks everyone....over and out....

Thank you for blogging, David!  Death investigation pointed to this little guy you've sent me before - thanks for this too! ("elegant", my, I'm blushing here...)

Love Jons collage, very cool, but somehow disturbing, isn't it?
