"What are you going to do with that ugly thing?" Dean's wife asked nicely.

After working on it, Dean Marks now says "BUT I KINDA LIKE IT!" So do I, yep, it's colorful, looks Italian or French, and features wine and grapes--can't go wrong with those ingredients: There it hangs now near the piano corner, lightening the heavy load of the significance of classical music. Dean tells the story here of how I came to earn this prize by sending him 99 american cents last year, an investment obviously well worth making: The 91-cents sale price is a little suspect, but who's looking a gift horse in the mouth?

One of Dean's book covers also arrived recently, and I agree with the philosophy he puts forth, except for the part-sentence which could lead us to believe that "laughter is an indicator of pathology":

*Thank You,* Dean!

But does the book say you should use a painter's easel like this?

Wow that came out big.

If you ever find a Gould chair, you know I'm good for the change.

How about this paint-help magazine, Dean? David Stafford sent it to me last year. "Simplified" might be a cut above Carina's "Step by Step." It didn't help me but I love the cover:

PS I'm a fan of Glenn Gould chairs.  I keep looking for one on e-bay.

OH, I'm past step by step.  Do you have the leaps and bounds version?

Yes Nancy, I think I'll keep her.  Besides, no one else could tollerate me.

It has indeed found a happy home. It really cheers me and is staying on the trellis by the piano! Do you always carry your paints on fairly short foreign adventures?! I can tell I'd like your wife, pulling your leg or not.

Happy it arrived.  The lady at the post office said; "This is nice, are you sure you want to send it without packaging?"

Thanks for the blog and comments of everyone.  The real fault is of Carina of course.  She always says; "Draw & paint"

And the real Hoot was when I finished; my wife said; "Oh, I could hang that one on a wall".  I think she was pulling my leg.  Glad it found a happy home & thanks for the nomination to the MOBMA.

I did send a bad art piece to Val a few months ago, but didn't hear anything about a prize.  I thought you were all just joking.

Dean, exciting news: Your 99-cent drunkpo piece has been submitted to IUOMA's Museum of Bad Mail Art (MOBMA) and is in contention for a prize. Diane encouraged this submission and you should be honored. You can check on its status at the group, http://iuoma-network.ning.com/group/iouma-mobma-museum-of-bad-mail-....
