This is just an artist's rendering so don't get all excited. Moan Lisa has a little problem with presentation ie these beauties came stapled together like a stack of receipts. Please, people. This is your art and it's pretty cool...do not staple...if you have to tie something together bike down to Hobby Lobby and get some raffia, or green duct tape or something but not staples!...(Some exceptions for Sloth Art may apply here). Anyway, Moan...here is your creative visualization of the day....Your Show at The Whitney...(Not your ambition, I know, but that could change). It's your show at the Whitney and could we please have a trumpet fanfare inserted here. Thank you) A typical day at the Whitney with several members of IUOMA looking on. Dave's Critique Goes Here
They're all good but the Canary is my favorite...You seem like the kind of person who has noticed that book cover art is really the last commercial place an illustrator or just a graphic designer can really make a mark. Witness Chip Kidd. And of course imaginary book cover art is even better because the story is all in the viewer's head, (provided they are not lyrically challenged). They are art and they are also plausible in this viewer's head as book cover art. So...in short Bravo.
more blogs to come...just be patient. I'm still marginally employed which eats into my creative time considerably and to no good end.

These are great!
Great juxtaposition of Moan and the Whitney, David.
I have a Moan Lisa performance score from last winter that involves smashing a hard drive on the floor of the Chicago Art Institute (or whatever that place is).
"Demolish serious culture."
O boy I've really stepped in it this time. The staple gang is comin' out o' the woodwork. However, I have in my possession a letter that proves these people are funded by ....Staples. Angie, I have designed a couple of book covers but nothing like the ones you see at your neighborhood independent bookstore. Imaginary book covers, on the other hand....
I worked at the Whitney for years, Moan would be an exceptional addition to the collection and certainly a major event on their exhibition schedule.
Everything Angie said, and definitely including what she said about staples. They have a special something. I hope to put it into words someday.
