Ho! Ho! Ho!
I'm back with a recent sampling of my latest pieces. YES, I am retired from mail art at large, my mail box is closed, my address removed, etc. But that doesn't mean I don't still enjoy doing it for family, friends, and the few contacts in the mail art world I have kept. I try to keep it all one-sided. While appreciated, I do NOT want mail back.
But for this blog entry--put your Santa hats on and grab a glass of (heavily spiked) eggnog--it's a quasi-holiday sprcial edition. (All but the first two things shown are holiday-themed...in horrific ways.)
FAIR WARNING! If your name is Maxima Strange, Mim Golub Scalin, Devin S. Turk, Carien Van Hest, Ken B. Miller, P. Landon, or Helene Lagache---and you want to be SURPRISED when your mail arrives, do NOT look.
The link is --> H-E-R-E.
Happy holidays!
CHEERS!
Comment
Marcia Rosenberger: No worries. i thought you meant something like that. i was just playing back with you. CHEERS!
Monster A GoGo: My dear friend, I'm so sorry if my comment upset you.
I wanted to do a words game, a linguistic joke within the context of your horror movie theme. Because this being the context, it seems to me that using the verb 'to love' is a little strange... I wanted to play around using the verb 'to hate', but with the meaning of loving... I hope the misunderstanding is cleared up now.
I really like your work, I think it's really fun! As well as your writing, I read your blog posts in full.
Thank you for your consideration in including me on your next list. With or without a pop-up card (which I thought were awesome! or hateful...lol).
It reminded me of the Grinch... who hates Christmas...
And last but not least, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a great holiday.
<3
Marcia Rosenberger : I don't think you saw my response (as it was buried under Mom/Kat's response). And i am now officially confused. Did you or did you not like the pop-up things...or perhaps it was too scary/frightful/gruesome? Anyway, i wasn't ignoring you. As i said, you probably didn't see my response to you as it was buried below my response to mom/Kat. I hope my response pleases you---since the pop-ups seemed to offend you? Hmm.
Katerina/MomKat: I'm glad you got/liked your Christmas card. You are on the list for mail art in the near future---if I live long enough. (It will be several months. I'm done through the holidays...and then heading to California for 6 weeks. It won't be until sometime in the spring at the earliest.) Happy holidays!
Marcia: I'm glad you like my writing style. I'm also glad you like the pop-ups (or hate them...whichever it is). You, too, are on the list for future mail art (See my note to MomKat--it's gonna be a while.), but it WON'T be a pop-up thing. I am sooooo DONE with those. Fun but a pain in the behind. CHEERS!
Ah, yes... I really like your narratives, the way you write.
I also really liked the pop-up cards, or rather, in context, I have to say I hated them! ;-)
Marcia---Thank you for taking a look. I'm glad you liked it.
Maxima---I'm happy you liked the pop-up card (THAT was a challenge) and thrilled you liked THE COOKIE CUTTER. Ho ho ho!
What a great blog post! That pop up card is way cool, and I laughed out loud at the cookie cutter. Everything there is such fun.
Fantastic! Don't look! lol
