Incoming: Surreal Alchemy, Jean Jackson, Cracker Jack Kid

A fun card of revolution from the Subreal Alchemy. I've only seen 3 or 4 from the list of films.

A lot of fun stuff from Jean Jackson. I love that she sent me a page from that dictionary to share  her discovery of where the image from one of her stamps came from. I love stuff like that.

A lot of fun stuff from the Cracker Jack Kid. I'm very happy to have a few of these artistamps(a collaboration with Mindaugas) which i had admired on line. The Tiananmen card quite appropriate since people in this neck of the woods are paying close attention to what's been going on in Hong Kong.

Also, if you get "page isn't available" on dread FB, just type Wheatboi Dave in the search bar on the left and it will pop up. We should lure him here. ;)

De Villo, I checked and Subreal Alchemy goes by Wheatboi Dave (Subreal Alchemy) on the dread FB. You did post the  "Sub-real Manifesto," and although the link to the manifesto is broken, you generously quoted what looks like the best part. Here is the URL for your blog, "David Stanley Aponte & the Sub-real Manifesto (Indianapolis, Indiana, USA)":

Does "Subreal Alchemy" go by "Wheatboy Dave" on Facebook? I think so. Just mentioning this because it's a place to connect with him/ He's a really interesting artist/writer. I believe I posted a Subreal Alchemy Manifesto he sent me a while back.

res, I envy you your new discovery of Grapefruit.  It has been on my shelf since nineteen hundred and god knows when.  I would very much like to read it again as if for the first time.  Both it and R D Lang were constant companions way back when,  As for Fly; both the film and the album can be found on you tube without much effort.

thanks for your comments res! i didn't know that about yoko ono. i'll probably not look at flies in the same way. i've been reading her book "grapefruit" off and on the last couple of months.

William, thank you for sharing your cool cache of mailart. About CJK's Fluxus Fly Artistamp, I read on Art Commotion that the housefly is Yoko Ono's alterego. The Fluxus/Fly connection has become almost subconscious, don't you think? I put a large fly on an Add&Pass awhile back on impulse. The bridge stamp on Surreal's postcard might refer to his last name, "Aponte." I'm watching "Danton" so I can claim seven on the revolutionary films list. So glad you blogged and posted! <3
