While out on errands this morning, I found a half-dozen back issues of National Geographic and a self-published book of somebody's goofy poetry. Of course I brought them home with me! That's why I've issued myself a little creative challenge for this afternoon--making ten [10] cards with these requirements:

*Each must be a standard 5.5"x3.5" (13.97x8.89 centimeters to our non-Yank friends) USPS postcard size.

*All of them are to involve lines from the poetry book, the National Geographics, and these particular newspapers I just took from my huge hoard, nothing else (except for pens, pencils, and paints).

To proceed thusly:
1-I take from 1-3 lines at random from the poetry book and write them down small and neat in a spiral notebook using a red ballpoint pen.
2-using colors, National Geographics and newspapers, make a visual that relates to the poetry.
3-cut out the lines copied in my notebook and paste them into the visual.

Sounds like fun, huh? Now let's see if I can actually do it!
