"HERE WE ARE: POWERFUL, EROTIC, AND READY TO GO!" (Great Big Collage #13)

Bonjour!

Here we are again.

This one is about bikes -- pedal-type bikes, not motor bikes.

Let's start with the Great Big Collage ...voilà!

And now let me introduce you to some members of my Fan Club Sigean Ladies Bike Club. Here are 9 members of the Club getting ready to go for their Sunday morning ride:

Indeed, they are powerful!

Indeed, they are erotic!

I haven't quite worked out where they are ready to go to.

But the last time I tried to keep up with them, well you can see how I ended up in this 'Cycyle Sport' photo. 'Knackered', would be a fair description of my physical, mental and emotional state after trying to go with them*, but I probably shouldn't use such a word on this family friendly site, so will just say 'exhausted.'

Great Big Collage #13 also features President Reagan and Mrs Thatcher, but when they are in the Netherlands they would rather take a bus than cycle. Different (pedal) strokes for different folks:

Finally, and all that power and eroticism is beginning to overwhelm me, I think I can answer the frequently asked question, "What is Erni up to these days?" Well, when I was on a recent visit to Germany, I saw this guy cooking hamburgers and hot dogs on his converted bike:

Is it Erni? It could be.

Thought for the day: 'Two wheels good, four wheels bad'.**

*My Doctor has advised me that 9 ladies is (are?) about 8 too many for a man in my condition.

** Especially if the 4 are attached to a VW

Thanks M Duck.

Ray Johnson was not known for his cycling prowess, and so let's move on to....

Daisy...

"There is a flower within my heart,
Daisy, Daisy,
Planted one day by a glancing dart,
Planted by Daisy Bell.
Whether she loves me or loves me not
Sometimes it's hard to tell;
And yet I am longing to share the lot
Of beautiful Daisy Bell.
Chorus:

Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer, do,
I'm half crazy all for the love of you.
It won't be a stylish marriage,
I can't afford a carriage,
But you'd look sweet upon the seat
Of a bicycle made for two.

We will go tandem as man and wife,
Daisy, Daisy,
Ped'ling away down the road of life,
I and my Daisy Bell.
When the road's dark, we can both despise
P'licemen and lamps as well.
There are bright lights in the dazzling eyes
Of beautiful Daisy Bell.
(Chorus)

Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer, do...

I will stand by you in weal or woe
Daisy, Daisy,
You'll be the bell which I'll ring, you know,
Sweet little Daisy Bell.
You'll take the lead on each trip we take.
Then if I don't do well
I will permit you to use the brake,
beautiful Daisy Bell
(Chorus)"

Volunteers to ride tandem with me will be welcomed.

10.10.15. Dare Ms. Res, Don't exactly know what you mean by "loot"  but I don't recall R. J. ever stuffing an envelope meaninglessly. There was generally always a kind of  poetic theme or reference however simple or minimal. (minimail)...& of course, that doesn't mean that I was capable of automatically grasping it's meaning.  Best to you. Richard Canard

10.10.15 Dare Valentine Mark H., ...periodically Ray Johnson would include two or three similarly themed clipping  photos & or images in an  an envelope ("Visual Correspondence" don't you know ). But these atomic ATCs  of yours  are complete "visual essays". ...absolutely amazing. Best to you . Richard Canard.  ...  Post Scriptum:   "A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle" ----Gloria  Steinem(?). .... but a man needs a woman like a fish out of water needs a bicycle for two as soon as possible.
