I was truly blessed in the mail yesterday. I really love olives and some, mainly Nancy Bell Scott, abhor them. But Nancy was kind enough to make me, what is now one of my favorite pieces of art, that I can’t stop laughing over.  Look at the glory of this actual Kalamata olive!!  The paint and ink is beautiful but I think we can all agree the olive steals the show!

This is the best, thank you Nancy!

Brine-cured would be my guess, Thom, since I love salt and have never understood brine. What is brine, anyway?

BTW: no offense below to any intestinal person! After all, I'm one of them.

You came close with the first image to luring me to try eating kalamata olives again, KS. But then the close-up made it a no-no for good. I mean, look at it!--kind of intestinal. But I'm very glad you enjoy the art of it, you made it worth it, and I appreciate this fun blog of yours very much.

Was it salt cured... or brined?

Vegetarian mail art is the BEST!!!

Gives new meaning to the colloquialism: "Your mail art is so good, I just wanna eat it all up!!"
