Did you know David Stafford is a doctor? Nope, didn't think so. But here we have two proofs:
Really, it's always been obvious that Dave has a lot to offer, but who knew he has managed L.O.S.E.R. retreats for the past three years? And possibly does it all naturally? I can't resist.
Enclosed also was this mysterious watercolor, unannotated, which is highly uncharacteristic of David: That bears a striking resemblance to a charmingly frightful 3-dimensional ID he sent a while back, which one of these years WILL be blogged, but in the meantime you can ruminate on this one. And the Barbie envelope, tricking us on both sides with things like "no neck" and "short arm" Barbies, which could destroy the ideals of little children, but it's posted here for the sake of truth for its own sake:
Thank you, Dave ...

The history is almost as good as the poster, Dave, though anything actually beating You CAN Be Less is hard to imagine... Isn't it annoying how colorful the somewhat-bohemian life was while duller folks raced to the top and stole everything? Wait, most of their stuff didn't exist until they created the demand. At least, that's what I understand from all my scholarly up-to-date economics textbooks. You've won your battle, though, graduating back into Santa Fe! Congratulations.
Thanks, Nancy...I did that years ago and it was a big hit. It was prompted by anger. I had been living a somewhat bohemian existence, unaware that Santa Fe was becoming prohibitively expensive while I was wasting my high productivity years. When my bubble burst, I lost my job and moved to Albuquerque, feeling like I had been kicked out Santa Fe for my profligacy. So...I made a series of these guerilla parodies and posted them on Santa Fe bulletin boards for fun and my own sort of revenge. The Lower Your Self Esteem was the first and by far the most popular. It hit a chord, I suppose. That's the original paste up and worth a bundle on eBay in some weird alternate universe.
Isn't it a scream? I can't stop reading it. As we all know, David's self-esteem is way too high, so clearly he still needs more work on himself.
Perfect mailing, great details!!! Shaman U. Press! Ha ha!
