Maxima! I am so glad to hear your mail arrived. Phew! That's a relief. Especially when so many DON'T get delivered. Knowing it arrived made my day. THANKS! CHEERS!

Monster A GoGo: Lo and behold, your mail art came today! Will blog it and also the sweet little zine at my zine group. Love it all. It gives me that goosebumpy happy feeling I get when I encounter something truly gothy. It puts me under its spell. So thank you! BABY JANE touches on powerful archetypes about vulnerability and aging, both frightening aspects of our mortality. That’s why monsters are so important (and fun). They give us a way to enter their (and our) world safely and help us to engage with these aspects of self. I am a little jealous of your theater experience, but happy for you all the same! Thanks for the mail!

Patricia: "Mail in, perfect condition, great content"? I'm guessing that means PUSSYCAT GALS FROM VENUS landed safely in your mailbox? Hooray! THANK YOU for letting me know. And, as I said, once I get "caught up, I will OCCASIONALLY drop a piece of mail in the box here and there. See ya then!

Katerina (MomKat): You got that from card from Mike Psrsons, I'll bet. I'm glad he digs the skulls. I do too (and use them far too often---but they are so coolio groovy! How can I not? ENJOY the summer.

Maxima: I hope the mail reaches you. Not everything arrives at its destination. It is so frustrating. Yes, please keep me posted. Your imagined story about me watching the movie alone (and that part, at least, is true) is intriguing. Good golly...I just pictured it myself. Although i am FAR from the extreme of either character (yet), I'm half Blanche (crippled due to my neuro-muscular disease) and half Baby Jane (a scary, now-overweight version of my former self--with my glory days long behind me!). EEEK! I hope your mail comes.

Monster A GoGo, no, the new mail hasn’t come yet. I still need to check the mailbox today, though. I’ll let you know when it comes. I keep picturing you (some made up version of you) watching Baby Jane in an otherwise empty theater. There’s a story there. I wonder what it is? My whole world is made of stories.

Maxima! Thanks for looking. i hope you got the new mail or was the surprise (such as it is) spoiled? Yes, I LOVE BABY JANE. It's a delicious quasi-horror masterpiece---I totally agree. Great performances and just a brilliant movie. I'm glad you know it and dig it. Cheers!

BTW, Baby Jane is one of my all-time favorite movies. That must have been something to see it in a theater, and to be the only one there. It’s a masterpiece, truly frightening in the best of ways.
