Well, mail art does arrive in Greece, in batches, meow :-)

...mail delivery once every 2 weeks. There were 8 + 4 (returned!) How sad ,

what is happening with USPS...the postal machine or

postal worker is not reading the address...NIXIE...NIXIE...

They are all correct addresses !!!!!

Very soiled and bent, hoping that more to the USA are not returned.

These were sent in October, 2020!

And so friends never got "Halloween" or "Autumn" mail art...

and I lost 6 euro postage, and worry if I should send again?

It is so sad during this Covid Era that mail is sooooo slow, if arriving at all :-0

Thanks to all who send,

one day, some day mail art will arrive?

Correction: 2 of 10 (not 6) machines taken away. Sorry for the error. Still, one-fifth of them gone, with big impact. Yes Luis, very very sad.

Kat, that's awful. Shocking, really, when all were addressed correctly! In August, 2 of the 6 USPS sorting machines at the big Southern Maine Processing + Distribution Center were taken away, thanks to Trump's US postmaster LeJoy. Immediately mail became slow here and also elsewhere in US. I don't know that staff was let go, as many news stories told of overworked postal staff who tried but couldn't handle the overflow from the 2 lost machines here. Delivery improved since Christmas, but it's unpredictable. Mail art from New Mexico, for example, is taking 6 to 8 days instead of 2. Sorting machines were taken away from many USPS centers. I'm wondering if your mails got those stickers because workers just couldn't handle actual delivery of everything. Very disturbing.

It seems that the USPS really suffered cut backs during the Trump times. Probably not too many "human beings" on staff and all is left to the postal machines? I now noticed that the postal code stickers were on the lower BACK sides of the envelopes, covering the rubber stampings...

maybe the machine didn't "turn over" the envelope on its address side? Just automatically slapped a yellow "NIXIE" sticker on the "bottom side"...which had the correct address, sigh.

Solution: no more rubber stampings on the back of my envelopes :-)

See all that "FeMail Art"...it is too low on the back side)

I make my envelopes from A4 sheets (as stationery stores are closed during this lockdown), and of the few I have already stamped, I will just refold them (they are not glued yet) and the stampings will be "inside" ha!

Of course, who knows if all the stamped envelopes i have sent in Nov.,Dec.,Jan.,Feb., will arrive at their destinations in the States...or will they be returned to Greece? ACCK!
