An international postage stamp in France will cost €1.96/$2.16 in 2024

At the start of 2024, the price of an international postage in France will increase to €1.96 -- or $2. 16.

I used to be able to afford to send lots of mail abroad when stamps cost 50% less, but now my mail art sendings have to be severely curtailed -- for which I apologise in advance.

You're probably right, Val. The oversize mail wasn't delivered, I walked across town to pay and collect it. I got THREE postal stickers for the money, though, and they were kind enough not to put them over the pretty lady wearing lots of feathers.

i) £1.50 for one of Dean's works is very cheap. You could sell it on e-bay for a lot, lot more....maybe £1.52

ii) It costs at least €128 to watch a show at the Moulin Rouge. (Plus the costs to get to Paris, stay in a hotel, eaat and rink, etc.) You might find it better value to look at Dean's card.

iii) no wonder postal charges are so high. PO personnel measuring (Dean's) mail, working out the extra costs, getting the post person to collect the extra costs, etc....

International stamp in UK is now £2.20 (€2.57), but that is anything up to 100g — and Dean, if you send mail here please note size limits. Your Moulin Rouge card cost me £1.50 to receive because it was 30mm too big.

Thank You for the news, I will give the information for Russia. Sending an envelope abroad, which weighs less than 20 grams, costs 0,9 US dollars (0,82 euros). Sending an envelope weighing more than 20 grams costs USD 1.96 (EUR 1.79).

Well or go visit a country where the postage is cheaper and then sent from there.  That's what I do, and already saved millions.  Although not counting, flights, hotels, and covid tests.
