Red Car water color from Debbie Clandening by Golly

A lot going on in this water colour from Debbie Clandening by Golly.  Notice all the items of temptation are in red; the red sports car, the red apples & the red door to by Golly's home.  Is it true that the real Garden of Eden is found in Canada?

Thank you very much Debbie, and my guess that the guy in the red sports car isn't taking the long way to the by Golly home.…

Footpath findings from Jennifer Jones

Yes, even on the foot paths in Portland you can find wonder things.  Jennifer has put it all together in this lovely card, and she only had to walk 500 miles to find it all.  Thank you very much Jennifer, and I hope you didn't wear a hole in your socks.  Socks?  Jennifer, did you say that you wanted Mail Art socks, well you are in luck ...…

Please help me find the mystery Mail Artist

It is very pretty as it is, but it is very heavy, and I'm not sure I should open it or admire it as it is.

The post mark said it was mailed from Hungry, but I do not know any Mail Artist there.  Who do you think sent it?  Should I open it more?

Could this be another Erni package that he had his Uncle in Hungry send me?

The big…

3 + 4' 3 Fluxus from Cernjul Viviana Maria in Buenos Aires

I think I worked it out all by myself.  3 + 4' 3 = a negative Fluxus.  There is actually a lot going on in this piece and it should not be hurried.  The lovely colored paper ripped, pieces of a telephone book where nearly everyone has the name of Jose, a film negative, and the royal Fluxus stamp, and numbers (my favourites).  Thank you very much.…

I sent a color test pattern to "The Eye" aka Cheryl Penn to see if she was color blind

The color test worked fine, but the story was a different story ...

But the story made "the Eye" see red.…

Erni's small package of EAT ART

Yes, Erni can even strike again with a small package.  As children we always thought that Ausland was our German grandmother's kitchen.  She would always smile and say; "AUS KINDER, Aus out of my kitchen"  or maybe she said raus.  Yes, I remember, it was RAUS KINDER!

But in the end, before we went home, she would always give us gummi-bares just like Erni sent.  He knows everything, and this was a great package with lots to eat.  Thank you.…

Valentine's Day Card from PrettyLilly

Ah PrettyLilly has found the secret to my heart .... GLITTER!   I always had this idea that glitter was not allowed in Mail Art.  Birthday Cards OK, but not Mail Art.  Then again this is a Valentine's Day Card after all.  Thank you very much PrettyLilly and no I am not blogging what you wrote inside the card.  Gentlemen never tell, and besides, I know that your husband sometimes reads your blogs!…

Katerina Nikoultsou has done Joni Mitchell proud

Katerina Nikoultsou has gone beyond the blue films on DVD's and returned to the classics.  I like this medium of support for paintings, it's fun and meaning full.  Thank you DJ Katerina!

Fun facts: Joni Mitchell is now 68 years young, and is actually Canadian and not American as I thought.  Great talent comes from places where you have to stay indoors for 9 months of the year.…

Erni's package, where performance and Mail Art collide – Warning: Photos are graphic!

A long day last Friday which ended in a surprise.  We got home very late (or early in the morning) from seeing the Paris avant premiere of "The Iron Lady" which was a good film but I fell asleep 3 times.  Meryl Streep was fab in the role of Margaret Thatcher.  Too tired to go to sleep we chatted awhile in the kitchen when I noticed that I still had not opened Erni’s package. …

Happy St. Valentine's from Marie Wintzer, well not really, but close! Random fallen words or as the page turns?

AH those French ladies know how to use the English language to their advantage.  This reminds me of a very funny event.  Once I went to a swimming pool in England and saw a sign that said "No Heavy Petting in the Pool", and for the life of me could not understand what it meant.  I asked a lady in the pool what the sign meant, and she slaps me across the face.  “Wise guy”, she said, and did the breast stroke to the other side of the pool, and told the life guard to keep an eye on me.  I…

MAil Art from Paris, France how cool is that? And in French! Thank you Mim

Well I never get mail art from Paris, so this is my first!  What a nice surprise from down the block, .. by bus.  I never think of putting French phrases on Mail Art, but this is a great phrase!  What will be, is what will be!  Thank you Mim

Find Peace Give Joy from Dave Hunt in Minesota

Living 9 months of the year indoors makes people talented, and Minnesota is the place to be where you have 9 months of winter and 1 month each for the other seasons.  Check out Dave's website; bluffecho.com and you can hire Dave & his French horn for all your events, and he can draw.  Thank you Dave, warm thoughts for you.…

Dabta Star Child from Cheryl Penn in South Africa - The pilot is not to be missed

Lovely and interesting piece from Cheryl Penn.  Sewing, story & envelope all in one.  I like the story but these are a few faults.  Women who hold up the world ... say anywhere you want to be and they will take you there.  However, recently I have notice a lot of women wandering around parking lots looking for where they parked thier car.  Is there a time limit on how long…

Guess who sent me this! Yes, that is fresh Mayo on our kitchen cupboards, and more .............................

Can anyone guess who sent me this!  Yes, that is fresh Mayonnaise on our kitchen cupboards, and wait, there is more, and more, and more.  Up to 2 meters (6 feet) high up the walls on the other side of the kitchen as well.

I went into shock and had to be rushed to the MAYO clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.  My wife was left behind to take pictures of the crime…

Val's got a ticket to ride, and she .................

I sent this ticket to Val so that he could come to Paris for the Mail Art Meeting.  So far he is still at the train station trying to explain to the control that it is indeed real.  But she didn't care.  My guess is that he will hitch-hike, and should arrive by next Friday.

You can't fool those French women train controllers!…

Haptic Cookie Werewolf strikes again! aka Pfefferkuchen from Erni Bar with help from der Deutche Post

The coded cookie reads; "Hi Dean, Anything else would be too normal".  Well Erni has surpassed himself again, and pulled it off with only a little help from der Deutche Post.  The Pfefferkuchen, (but my German grandmother called them cookies because she wanted to sound American), arrived in a plastic bag.  It seems that the Deutche Post was so amazed by this creation, that they forgot to cancel the stamps!  Thank you Erni, the Haptic Werewolf has surely gone where no Werewolf has gone…
