Tonight, during a spell of insomnia, I made this little booklet. It's my first attempt at combining mail art and art journaling. Six pages of artsy goodness! I'll mail this to a special somebody today.

This little packet sat on the table for 24 hours - an eternity - staring and tempting at each pass by.
A friend suggested that it NEVER be opened, 'it is perfect as it is'. I reached for the scissors and carefully cut open the edge without stitching. Diane, it is no surprise you are the reigning queen of trashpo. Here is a peek into this marvel. thanks.…

This arrived three weeks ago and knocked my socks off: Gabriel sent me this because a couple of months ago I admired some photos he'd put up that played with the alphabet and signs and symbols. He has created his own symbols for the alphabet, and an imaginary story to go with the concept. The above is the front of this 7"x9" book; and the back plus his translation sheet…

Opening Thom's envelope was a bit like opening a CARE package, filled with uplifting and unexpected things. First, there was Thom's envelope itself, painted beautifully in watercolor:
It's lovelier in person because my Mac Image Capture does a rotten job with orange. The starfish's markings are more a burnt orange on top with lighter and brighter orange underneath. …

The Windmills collaborative book has lost Angie and the Snooks for a little while, but I am really happy that they were able to make it back, this chapter is a great addition to the project. Neat and delicate with wonderful green tones on a black background, and a very original window where the circles of your mind are spinning silently in space.

Chapters from the Windmills of Your Mind are rolling in. This is Lesley's part, her drawings and paintings on beautiful thick paper. The tones are earthy and soft with great texture. Her drawings and text layered on painted windmills are an intimate journey into a peaceful mind. Eyes open, eyes closed, nothing can stop our windmills from turning.
Thank you Lesley, this is another amazing chapter of what is going to be a great book!

The Windmills Of Your Mind is a collaborative art book with various interpretations of the eponymous song. The idea originated with Katerina mailing this booklet to Cheryl, and it all started rolling.
The windmills of Katerina's mind are colorful and sparkling and I imagine them twirling incessantly. But then she includes those quiet and slow old windmills in beautiful USA stamps, and I now know that those are equally important. Oh yes they are... Lyrics are printed on the fragile…
