Why I am involved in Mail-Art:
I have been making and mailing off my own postcards for years and only recently have been told by a close friend that there really are others out there who love to send interesting mail. I need to connect with these others or else I'll continue to be lost in an uncommunicative universe.

Hello. If you happen to be interested, I have been putting together an exhibition at the Franklin Arts Center Resident Artists Gallery, here in Brainerd, MN, to showcase Mail Art from all around the world. The exhibition is titled, 'POSTAL', and there is still a couple more weeks to send your Mail Art to us, to be included in the show. Check out the link below for more information. - Thanks, Martin.

The Exhibition I refer(red) to is my 2-part "L'Art de la Carte Postale/Post Card Art" one. You can find details of it in the Mail Arts Project link, and in the Group set up to celebrate IUOMA's 25th Birthday. When you've found it -- SEND ME SOME MORE CARDS! Thank you.

Byeeeeeee!

Bonsoir and Merci Beacoup for the Darker Side of Minnesota postcard. i think that it'svsuitable to put in next week's Post Card Mail Art Exhibition...so in it goes, and voilà! you can add exhibiting in France to your CV (if it's not on there already!)

Bon weekend, Val

Dear Rose,

Rather belatedly, many thanks for the nice New Year's card that you sent me: a very nice collage indeed, and a strange combination of a bikini-ed (?) torso and snowy streets.

I'm having a one-man campaign to keep the local hospitals in business in 2013 (foot and eye operations + disc problems*), but will be back on the Mail Art train again, and sending you something back in the next week or so.

Thanks again, and regards,

Val

Encore Bonjour Rose! Thanks for the card of the girl with a shadow thing over her eyes. Ity's very nice. Nope, I don't know about the sculptor who created wind-powered beach-walking animals: do tell me more, please?

You can come and walk on 'my' beach anytime. It's a bit cold now, but wrap up warm and it's certainly walkable.

I'll be mailing you something back soon -- some beach monsters, perhaps?

Thanks again & regards, Val

Bonsoir Rose! Thanks for the Hawk postcard. Was it scary having it sit on your hand? It lokks a bit frightened; perhaps it was scared of being handled and banded. I'll be mailing you something -- also Beastie-themed -- back in the next few days.

Hope you are well.

Regards, Val

Bonjour Rose! Thanks for the card...I'm glad that the rattlesnakes, bears and mountain lions didn't attack you: what a loss to the Mail Art community that would have been.

I'll be mailing you something back soon, if and when I can drag myself away from the beach and my Sea Monsters.

Best wishes, Val
