Hi,

for IUOMA members, we are the owners of an art gallery in Marseille, France, and organizing a Mail Art exhibit ''not for sale'' from June 3 to 30, 2014. The theme is: "Mermaids in the port, queens of the sea..." We invite you to participate and send an artist's letter. Free technique. On a postcard or any other object of your choice. Illustration, address and stamp on the same page. Deadline for hanging: May 10, 2014.   Send a work in mail format as original as possible. Send to: JC SARPI -  LE LAB 3 rue Bussy l'indien 13006    Marseille France
.We will answer each mail by sending Mail Art. Looking forward to presenting your works.  Thank you for giving the information to all the persons who may participate to the project. Look at http://lelab13006.blogspot.fr

Thanks Judith for your words! Now I must try to imagine well a "beaten-up look" ;-) English is not my language and is still rough ...

Earthling, this is the last but certainly not the least welcome message to IUOMA you receive. I’m a celestial mail artist living in a heavenly corner of the faraway universe called Republik van Patland. When you joined IUOMA on August 28  I was unable to welcome you on board.  At the time I was in a celestial journey far beyond the Milky Way. Now, back to planet Earth, I´d love to be the other end when you decide it’s the right time to start trading snail mail art. If this is the case at the time your envelope should read as follows:

The Celestial Scribe

Terrene Embassy

Republik van Patland

Caixa Postal 24827

Curitiba-PR

80510-970

Brazil

I look forward to see a piece of yours in our terrene mailbox. I will do my homework after receiving yours. This is nothing less than a Celestial Promise. I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Republik van Patland official envelope provider.

Hello Neighbor!

I'm across the state a bit in Richmond. Glad you found us because you are now part of a group that loves to send and receive Mail Art.

I'm the August mentor, with only a day and a half to go, but you can contact me at anytime for support. If you haven't already done so, check out "New to IUOMA" and the group "Ask Anything." Loads of info there.

You might want a postal address here as many people won't take time to e-mail you to request your address.

You can send mail to me at

2422 Floyd Ave, Richmond, VA 23220 and

I'll send you Mail Art in return.

Best regards, happy weekend, Mim
