The Cheryl Penn Dilemma

The Cheryl Penn Dilemma What are we to do with Cheryl Penn? Her art, always masterful, always protean (look it up, I did) always dreamlike in its complexity or complex in its dreamworld evocations. The air up there is rarified (Esoterically distant from the lives and concerns of ordinary people) but not hard…

Only Once in a Quadringentesimus Does Something Like This Come Along...

A light fell upon him as he contemplated the great Shroud of Elgin...

At first the light burned a little...

Then he was filled with the spirit of Trashpo, and De Villo Sloan felt compelled to share with the masses the miraculous…

Cellule de Cerveau # 822

Got a new Brain Cell From Ryosuke Cohen, yey! I think he did a GREAT job, I'm absolutely chuffed. The Minxus stamps look dashing, right in the middle of the sheet (and just on top of Cheryl's hat). And icing on the cake, the address list goes: cp-sa, mw-jp, rc-jp. Great!

And I really want to quote MINesota flUXus (NOT the real Minxus) friend…

Stephanie Blake's Whirligig Mug Shot

Thanks to Nancy Bell Scott or whoever coined the term Blogjam. It’s the perfect word for my current affliction. Apologies to all whose mail art has been languishing near my scanner. Let me begin with Stephanie Blake’s Whirligig Mugshot which amazed both of us by arriving without a scratch. Not even a torn edge.

I know many of you will be tempted to try…

Great Trashpo from Wales!

Mona Lisa Blog 2 - RCBz Full set of Cards from the Rack PLUS!

RCBz has been a sort of Custodian of Mona, since I started the Mona Lisa mail art call.  He submitted Medi-Alert Mona and then the Not the Dulwhich Gallery image where he had digitally assembled all the  Mona Lisa’s off my blog. ( http://cherylpenn.com/wpb ).  As every good gallery should have, RCBz created a card rack. The Cards From the Rack series were created by RCBz from the works that had not fitted on the gallery walls.  R has sent me the whole…

Dharma DaDa Erni Bär [Vegetarian] Mail Art Cookbook Series--Part deux--"Is it hot in here?" Edition

In celebration of a fabulous IUOMA posting day yesterday--did you catch all the DKult action happening here yesterday??--and in honor of Lisa and KDJ's collaborative tattoo project arriving in my mailbox, I decided to have a celebratory dinner.  So I dove into the stash of tins that Erni sent from Hamburg, and whipped up a new dish! It is photo documented here for your salivating delight...

Many folks seemed to like the first recipe posted and some even sent themed artwork in honor of…
