"A Circle" is a poetic and very beautiful book sent by Marie:
This book is a thought-provoking reminder that it was Marie's work I first saw the day I stumbled into IUOMA over a year ago. It was in a blog by Thom Courcelle, and her work…

She might have found this, as is, for all I knew, but she tells me she put it together: It touches me that Susan made this inventive art piece in honor of my love for rust. She even tried to make the middle part rusty--spraying it with water for quite a while, she said--but it wouldn't cooperate. Rust never sleeps, but now we know it isn't everywhere. And no matter. I love…

First the old from Erni, of course--a great found paper, mounted on cardboard: That part of this paper is rust-colored is yet another sign of the thoughtfulness of Erni Bar. But this isn't all! In a small round cheese box the following contents arrived: Clay…

Katerina found and sent me this great rusty can lid: It's a beaut. It's a young one--probably hasn't reached adolescence yet--so its rusty and rusting journey through life has a marvelous freshness along with the telltale signs of time and exposure.
Does Katerina send only the lid? Noooo. She made a (blue) art card incorporating her own originally designed rusty-can-lid…

Each envelope is really interesting by itself, too. In fact the first impression was that these were abstracts by Katerina herself: Very thoughtful of Katerina, as I'd admired Ahmet's Marilyn and still do. But Katerina didn't send these empty. She never would! Each contained a very nice blue (!!) card from her: …

If you get to receive detritus from David's desk now and then, you are lucky too: David says this is from circa 1992. David's history continues to prove that he didn't just grow an imagination yesterday. This thing had me in stitches, and my only complaint is that the "informal evening of frank, open whining about life in Santa Fe" was restricted to life in Santa Fe. Why not…

Receiving this folio (and more) was like winning an art lottery I didn't know I'd entered, so unexpected, beautiful, and big in impact:
With a trashbook that takes the aesthetic trashbook to new heights: …

One of Nadine's super-creatures is chewing bubble gums and kicking asses. Love them! Thank you, Nadine (yes, my linocut).

Guido's sense of color is wonderful, and now I know that includes a fantastic way with blacks, whites, and grays:
Wow! I should probably share this with Roberto, but sorry, it isn't going anywhere. Also enclosed is a poem/vispo by Guido, "Rain and Tears," full of meaning, "around a drawing by Saha Khosravi from Iran": …

Carina had a holiday in the USA and she got this black and white postcard with a mining camp in Nevada on it. And then she took it home, all the way to Finland. She put the postcard under the sewing machine needle and had a cup of coffee while making this ace Mail Art. I have a deep respect for people to know how to operate a sewing machine.
Well... that is the…

It looks like Vizma arrived in Riga, and being such a nice sister, purchased her brother some D&G after shave most likely in a duty free shop. And being the nice MAil Artist she is, I got the box.
Just for information, I use ARMANI eau pour homme, and not after…

A wonderful piece where Amy broke down a larger handpainted collage to made this one. The sewing puts it all totally together. And it arrived in this funky envelope made from an old calendar of guitars. How many people have calendars of guitars?
Well just for you information, this one is a Stratocaster which is one of 100 that were handpainted by Pamelina…
