Rustic concoction from Susan McAllister !

She might have found this, as is, for all I knew, but she tells me she put it together: It touches me that Susan made this inventive art piece in honor of my love for rust. She even tried to make the middle part rusty--spraying it with water for quite a while, she said--but it wouldn't cooperate. Rust never sleeps, but now we know it isn't everywhere. And no matter. I love this thing! It weighs a ton, yet managed to arrive in a very lopsided position inside this envelope Susan arranged for it: The post office treated it like royalty. Thank you again very much, Susan!

Actually, I a bit technophobic and don't have a camera. Sorry, I'd love to show them to you.

Susan, do you have photos of the others you can post?

Actually, I've made 8 or 9 small pieces from scrounged metal. I have to confess that I made them purely for my own pleasure. It never occurred to me that anyone would be interested in them until I saw Nancy's collection of rusted pieces. Then I decided my little piece might fit in. I'm glad you like it, Nancy.

You're right, and it is being handled with care. Right now it is on an open shelf with other 3-dimensional metal objects with a lot going for them. It is 2.5 inches across the bottom and 2 inches high. It has a strong presence.
