Surrealist Society

I was turned on to Dali and Max Ernst in my 20s and that was it for me. Ever since, I’ve been a committed Surrealism fan and Surrealist artist. Though Surrealism covers a wide range of media, tones and styles, it has an unmistakable vibe for those who resonate with it. Pacific Northwest Mail Artists

This group is for mail artists in the northwest corner of the U.S. and British Columbia.  Exchange mail art with your region's artists and maybe meet in person.  We are planning quarterly meetings in the Seattle area where we will make mail art together and share what we are working on, as well as some favorite pieces we have received.  We'll also share tips and techniques.  Put a face to the name on the envelope!See More

Why I am involved in Mail-Art:
I found out about IOUMA from a woman wearing postage stamp pajamas at Breitenbush Hot Springs. I have been exchanging mail art throughout my life with my sister, a retired USPS letter carrier.

I like to make art and send and receive mail. I like the idea that in mailing a piece of art you are giving it away.

I love paper, printmaking, collage, color, surrealism, juxtaposition, all things vintage.

I am a bookseller, and also recycle old books into journals.
