045a musa balbisiana or better known as Banana Leaf for Val

The last day of holiday so I finally plucked up my courage to climb that banana tree to get this leaf. It was hard work, but I made it. Then it occurred to me that the difficult part would be getting down. I started to inch my feet when all of a sudden I started slipping. Bang to the ground I came. My wife Vanessa came running out of the villa and said; “You bloody fool, what where you doing up there?” I said that I was getting a banana leaf to send to Val. Then she said; “That’s not a banana tree, the musa balbisiana trees are in the front. Well one thing is for sure is she knows her trees.
Anyway, on the way down I popped the button off of my trousers and ripped a hole in them.
On the bright side, (there is always a Dean Brightside), I did get this fake banana leaf and finished that button project I always wanted to do!
I wrote Val's name and address on the back and stuck on a stamp, and in the mailbox it went. His post lady will have fun with this one!

PS If you hold this leaf 20 feet in the air, I still think that anyone could confuse it for a banana leaf.
PSS Vanessa didn’t really say, “you bloody fool”. She actually said; “Oh my God, are you alright?” But it didn’t sound right for the story.
