I've never had any troubles with artistamps on the outside of the envelope. As long as you have an legible address and legal postage stamp you are good.
I like the Cocteau drawings too, never seen them before, he would have made a good mail artist.
No that's some miles away from me, its a big place France, which I am looking forward to exploring. I imagine it must be nice down there if you visit every year?
Thank you for sending to the Mail Love Not Bombs Exhibit. We must be related because I have a a great nephew from Nigeria that has millions of dollars he wants to ship out of Africa. I told him he should buy as many Amazon gift cards as possible in my name and ship them to me. I have to heard back yet. hahahahaha
you are very welcome. I'm pleased it's having the intended effect of happy making. I like the idea that the view can see what their subconscious mind brings up for them, so if you see a bird that's great, could be a flying fish, or a dolphin or a killer whale, or a ... the list goes on :-)
Paul klee is one of my favorites too. It seems we are/were inspired by Arab village dwellings. Him from Tunisia, me from our friendly Arab village down the road.
You asked me to send a collage. On Easter Day, I made a collage for you and sent it by mail. I made a Christmas card! What a paradox, right? ... But you love paradoxes.
On Easter days, I send you a Christmas collage in the hope that it will come to you before Christmas 2019 comes. In the summer it is so nice to dream of winter. And in the winter so good to dream about summer.
Hi Martha - re: not a crocodile In the southern USA, we have alligators! Florida is a tropical climate. Sometimes people try to keep alligators as pets but they grow fast. Chance the Snapper was a baby 5-foot long alligator that someone dumped into the lagoon pond in Humboldt Park in Chicago. Police has to fence off the park and two different wildlife rescue people worked over a week to catch the alligator. He is in a zoological park in Florida now, safe from the coming Chicago winter. :3 Also, alligators are very dangerous like a crocodile.
Welcome words from you a couple weeks ago, Martha. Thank You! And yes, confusing times, no doubt about it. I don't know whether to hope this is due to dementia or to the times themselves. Neither? Ok. See you in the mail in 2020, Mail Art Martha ---
Omg, Martha!! I didn't even realized you left this photos and comments! I'm SO sorry. Yes, of course, you can use my address and any part of what I send you as you please. And thank you so much for the rat with my name; so cool!!!!
I suddenly remembered my brief trip to London in 2000. It was in may, just like today. We were visiting the Russian Bishop Anthony (Bloom) of Sourozh. We also lived for a couple of weeks in the University city of Cambridge. I have the most beautiful memories!
Dear Martha, thank You for your appreciation of my collage and for publishing it in the group. I am very pleased!
I must say that I love the winter landscape that is placed on the postage stamp. I recognize the Moscow of my boyhood. I went to school in the half-light, it was getting light, I could see the dome of the Church... bare tree... a string of workers ... snow ... it was just like that. Today, the city has changed, it has been greatly modernized, it has become less proletarian and more cramped.
Most importantly, there is a sky over Moscow that makes me think about flying. I my collages talk about flying into the sky. Thank You, dear Martha.
Dear Martha, I wish You a speedy recovery! Just today, I saw a message about an injury that happened to you. I sympathize with You and wish You healing.
Thanks Martha, I don't want to stop making collages in any way. I just wanted to take fewer photos of mail and spend less time on the Internet. Life is changing, and I will have to learn to save time, become more frugal. All this in order to have more time to work at the artist's Desk!
I must say that Google Translate works perfectly! He's smart!
Hello, Martha. I would like to see Your online blog. I believe Your blog contains a large collection of correspondence that you have received in recent years.
In Moscow, it would be impossible to walk around with works of art attached to a bag - it's raining! The rain washes away the dust, but it doesn't wash away our fears; people around us are afraid of the virus, which returns like the biblical locust. In this situation, I need to take care of my parents ' health and not forget about my work... I wish you a successful October vacation, when you can not care about the received mail or blog, but only contemplate the space. It's as if everything is gone, and there is only the joy of being.
