    Dear Judi,

    just got to y'r mailart of 19 Sep. and am starting to reply. Wanted you to know that my bowel cancer which had metastasised to my L lung is now in remission after 16 chemo treatments. Will continue chemo due to possible remaining cancer cells but consider myself blessed! More in the letter with the next mailart. Y'r ol' Bud, Fike
