    Hi John.
    Currently I am working on a publication (book) to celebrate the 20 years of IUOMA. In it will be texts connected to what happened with IUOMA (history) but also about how the electronic world has influenced the mail-art network. Since you write such good texts I wonder if you would consider writing one for this specific issue. Also things connected to IUOMA that have been made over the years will be included in the book.

    What do you think? Would you consider a specific subject or topic?

    VISUAL POETRY:

    Collage, visual poems, process poetry, illustrated poetry, labyrinth poems, phonetic poems, audible poems, semiotic, palindrome, holopoems, concrete poetry, video action, photo action, object poem, pseudovisual poetry, braille poetry.

    VIDEO, SHORTFILM, DOCUMENTARY, ANIMATION:

    All videos will be admitted, shortfilms, photography, documentaries, animations that do not exceed 8 minutes of length and they must be delivered on CD or DVD format ready for its presentation.

    MULTIMEDIA EXPRESSION:

    They will be admitted on CD or DVD format ready for its presentation including the credits, the photography, the list of the soundtrack that was used and the name of the author.

    AUDIO FORMAT:

    the audio format admitted has to be:
    Wave 44,100 Hz 16 bit stereo
    Mp3 from 96 'til 320 KPSS
    If the expression is audible, high fidelity required.

I spent time several weeks ago perusing the mail and was overwhelmed with the number of entries, large and small.     John, I sent you a friend request and reached the max word limit.  You may not remember me from the period 1986-1990 or so.  I was fairly active under the name Tuesday Art and living in San Diego at the time.  You perforated a mail art stamp for me on AIDS/SIDA.  I'm unable to put my hands on one at the moment and fear it may have been lost in one of my many moves since that time.  I am slowly reentering the mail art world though it has never left my heart.

    I am happy to see you are still in the game, though I think you used to live in Dallas  did you not.  I seem to recall some connection with the library there from which the fatal shots were fired.  I could be merging memories so if not you then accept my apologies.

    Do you still do perforations? I've been casually looking for a perffing machine and it seems they are hard to come by.

    At any rate I hope you are doing well.
