Thanks GIN. I'm in the trying to figure it out and wondering if I have time for IUOMA in my life atm. Looks interesting.

06.10.17 Dare Mike Parsons, Did you just now attempt  a conversation via something called "Chat History" (or something like that)??? I am sorry to tell you that I am barely  personal computer savy....but if you are use to the process of sending & receiving postcards you are already ahead of the game here & will fit comfortably into the IUOMA. Just proceed  using your own judgement about what & who  you will find of interest  & I'm sure all your questions will be answered &  then replaced by a completely new set of questions.  Best to you. Hey Mike! I’m excited to receive your postcard! I’m pretty new here to all of this. I couldn’t figure out how to respond to your question earlier. Hahaha. Seems like your getting the hang of it though. I’m a pretty busy student so when people send me things and I send them something back. I hope your having fun!

Ciao MIke! i mailartisti sono tutti amici! comunichiamo come possiamo... ti abbraccio fraternamente!  Bruno

Hello Mike! mailers are all friends! let us know how we can ... embrace you fraternally! Bruno

10.10.17 Dare Mike Parsons, ...uh, ...excuse me... (& in regards to your note to Ms. M. Howard & your recent  receipt of an  unsigned postcard)....  I suspect it is the beginning of your new set of questions  that I mentioned earlier. All is well.  ... there is a good possibility that it will happen again & again all over again. SinCelery, Richard Canard

"I've been an IUOMA member for one week and already got a postcard postmarked in Portland w/o any sender name. What's the deal with this?"

That's whatcha get in Cracker Jack™!

  • Toni Hanner -- tonipoet

Not everyone signs their work. Some of the signatures are pretty cryptic. All part of the mystery of mail art!

  • Bruno Cassaglia

Ciao Mike,è arrivata la tua cartolina, grazie! ti invierò una mia mail art! B

Hi Mike, your postcard has arrived, thank you! I will send you my mail art! B

  • Patricio - The Celestial Scribe

Earthling, this may be the last but certainly, it´s not the least welcome message to IUOMA you are going to receive. I’m a celestial mail artist living in a heavenly corner of the faraway universe called Republik van Patland. I´d love to be the other end if you wish to trade mail art with a celestial mail artist. If this is the case at the time your envelope should read as follows:

    The Celestial Scribe
    Terrene Embassy
    Republik van Patland
    Caixa Postal 461
    Curitiba-PR
    80011-970
    Brazil

I look forward to seeing a piece of yours in my terrene mailbox. I´ll do my homework after receiving your artwork. This is nothing less than a Celestial Promise. I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Republik van Patland Official Envelope Provider.

  • Patricio - The Celestial Scribe

Did you say IUOMA friends?  That´s real  quote celestial unquote.

    Hey Mike,

I got your postcard in the mail. Thanks so much. You said you couldn't find my profile, so here I am! Bonniediva

Hi Mike, thanks for the great dual card (drawing on one side, "Toni inspired soul collage" on the other! AND the fabulous envelope full of really nice ephemera. You can be sure I'll use it -- some of it might even find its way back to you!
  • Jane Noakes

I love the extension of my original idea, Mike. Thank  you so much :)

  • Toni Hanner -- tonipoet

Mike thank you for the cartoon/mandala/demon! Highly energetic--I'm trying to figure out if it's a stamp or a free-hand drawing! Either way I love it! And thanks for all the ephemera, too. I'm glad to see you're a Minions fan!
  • Toni Hanner -- tonipoet

Hey, Mike, I love your latest endeavor, your "Art Not Art" Amalgam Mixture! There are a lot of people here in IUOMA who make Vispo (Visual Poetry) or other forms of mail art that involve both words and visual art. Yes, I'm a poet but I have't been writing much lately--too involved in Mail Art! Michael is indeed Iowa born architect (ret.) Good to hear from you again!
  • Bruno Cassaglia

Ciao Mike è arrivata la tua Mail Art!!! grazie ti abbraccio , Bruno

  • Bruno Cassaglia

Si ti invio una mia mail art ... ma per favore scrivimi qui non sulla lettera ! Non so l'inglese e devo usare il traduttore se mi scrivi qui è  più facile . Ti abbraccio.  B

  • Jan Hodgman

Hi Mike, Saw your nifty backgrounds on Facebook. Sending something to you!

  • Jan Hodgman

Uh-oh, I forgot to take a pic of the posrcard I sent yesterday. Its #339 of my MAILART 365 project. I'm hoping you can either email a pic or post one on IUOMA. I have all the other photos! Thanks.

  • Jan Hodgman

PS my email address is jhodgman@zenjan.com and thanks again for considering this.

  • Toni Hanner -- tonipoet

Woo-hoo, Mike thank you for the "Angels" poetry book! I love the idea of passing along things like that and I will make good use of it! You may see some of the poems flying back to you! And thanks for the Serendipitous Hood River card! It's really not that far from Eugene, probably 2 or 3 hours drive. But with my most hated and feared insect? the earwig? Gahhhh! Really, thank you for you mail art friendship!
