Remember the scrapbook craze? I bought a bunch of scrapbooking papers 10 years ago, when it was all the rage, but never used them.
Finally used origami to turn them into envelopes without cutting or gluing...
Not saying these are "art", or creative, they're not...they're store bought printed papers. But at least they are functional envelopes that I am more likely to use, now. :)
I found a tutorial for making the same kind (lots of different methods out there): Origami Envelope
It's summer in Oz...14 hours of monsoonal rain last night, I'm surprised the city hasn't washed into the sea. No heatwaves here...Darwin calls Bali and Timor neighbours, as they are far closer to us than any other Australian city. Saw this text on fb, HAD to use it. Voila! Envelope. Acrylic paint on an oversized envelope, misquote is from The Bard's Richard III
Deer Richard Cee: *laughter* Thanks for explaining the wistful look I catch on my postman's face. Poor thing, I will add scandalous juicy bits on my postcards from now on, just to make his life more exciting.
Hello David Stafford, nothing like a 1 cent cigarette when you are sipping a Woodbury Facial Cocktail. If only I could market myself so well....the secrets to success are always jotted on the back of one envelope or another.
Did you make this Carl or did somebody else? It looks like it’s a a tiny envelope. I like the arrangement of the stamps, their colors, and the artistsamps at the top.

Here is something that might be of interest to this group. It arrived a couple of weeks ago and I know nothing more than what you see; nor do I need to. Whether it is an on-going project or just an anomaly I don't really care; I have done one and sent it back and it would be nice if everyone else did too. It is the sort of meaningless nonsense that mail art used to thrive on and as such means everything. Let the mail infest Mr J F's welcome mat as thickly as the fungi depicted on them . . .
in response 2 mary anne’s september 16 th comment 2 send J F Chapelle an empty ‘lope-- i’m just now realizing i misread it & went a bit overboard w/the mushrooms, as it only calls 4 sending an empty ‘lope using mushroom stamps!!
ha! agreed. even so, it was a call 2 use mushroom stamps, plural-- & i only used 1! so yet again i missed the mark. none the less, i sure hope he's delighted...

Alan Brignull Yes, I'm guessing it is to do with the GST, though I can't quite wrap my head around how it happens, how it makes a difference.

Great envelope from Norma Soulet. I love the IUOMA artistamp, and Dutch PostNL thought it a good idea to add a code on a sticker to the addressee.
The content of this envelope you can see in the Fiber Artists group.
Thank you very much, Norma!
