Thank you for reading and sending words of encouragement, Monster! Safe travels.
Great edition! I’m traveling at the moment and cannot figure out how to sign in to directly comment on your blog, but I enjoyed it. I don’t rubber stamp myself—-just not my thing—but I loved the work shown and reading the perspectives of those who use them. Great work!
Nice! This is a subject near and dear to my heart.
Reminder Will be posting about rubber stamps in mail art some time this Wed Thu Fri.
Thanks both for reading and commenting.
NLV: The BCO is watching right now. Pretend like I didn't just say that. Act normal. And thanks for the gold stamp. Franklin Mint? It reminds me of a lyric from a Ben Fold's Five song called The Battle of Who Could Care Less?
"I've got this great idea Why don't we pitch it to the Franklin Fucking Mint
Fine pewter portraits of
General apathy and major boredom singing
Whatever and ever Amen"
Monster, yes ChatGPT is big big big right now, along with any other so called artificial intelligence programs that can write passably human articles. I am happy to promote your work because I like the style of the work you create. My style is eclectic. My office at Mail Art News headquarters (my living room) is eclectic. I love throwing a bunch of different styles together and seeing how they look overall.
BTW. I’d never heard of ChatGBT (which must be some sort of AI thing, I guess?). Fascinated that it could write a synopsis for a movie with your few suggestions.
Oh dear, the Brown Conspiracy Organization was very busy with this issue. It will take weeks to chase the threads of all of that research. BTW, I sent the gold stamp. Got some albums from 1980s Postal Commemorative Society (a quasi-scam aka Franklin Mint), ripped them apart, and will be terrorizing the Eternal Network with more.
What an eclectic mix o’ stuff in this issue. I had no idea about the video guy posting mail art on YouTube, but the guy in the desert was unexpected. How does he even get mail out to him if he’s the only resident? And that mayor guy… If I ever get caught up, maybe I’ll send them some mail. Also, thank you for posting an envelope of mine posted on Mail Art Worldwide’s Facebook page. I hadn’t known they’d shared it. Looking forward to the next edition. Thank you.
