IUOMA MOBMA (Museum of Bad Mail Art)

IUOMA MOBMA (Museum of Bad Mail Art)

I frequent thrift stores looking for frames and canvases that I can re-use. I find something sad and intriguing about the handmade art that finds its' way into the donation piles.  As an offshoot of the amazing Museum of Bad Art  (MOBA) http://www.museumofbadart.org/

I am hoping we can assemble a unique collection of the ugliest reject art out there. This can be one you find, something you have made, bad industrial art for the masses, or mail art flunks.  There is beauty in imperfection.

I agree Finn-i don't think it's bad either and the backing fell off so I don't think Viz even expected US to SEE the worst part--the back. The Weiner of the contest gets their art featured as the home page pic. Finn--are you on FB? cuz I posted TrashBo on there

A new entry into the contest - now there can be a winner and a runner up!

From Vizma (via DKULT)

I don't think this is so bad, to be honest, but the back scares the hell out of me.

Mashed swede!! Ugh, the bane of school lunches. They mashed the flavor and texture right out of those poor turnips.

I hate to say it, but in an effort to revive this group, I am moving it to facebook. To avoid the name debacle with the Museum of Bad Art, I am calling it the MooZoom of Bad Art. Please consider joining if you believe art comes in many forms and that sincere expression is the core of art and not the method of creation. We don't try to flame or judge, just appreciate art that, like a B-rated movie, is so bad it's good.

love it! beauty and blood=a recipe for disaster.  came across this 'excess plastic' sculpture. someone was trying to sell it on craig's list.  I'm not lying

This great opus of literature was in a pretentious antique store in St. Pete - they wanted waaaaay too much for it...and as much as I love it, I was not willing to part with $15...(sorry about the lack of focus...)

love it--can't tell which one of them is suspicious!

Annette Kesterson in San Francisco sent me some discarded book cover art that strikes me as relating to Bad Romance, literally.

Glad to see my misadventure arrived, FinnBadger. The bonus mishap makes it even better, although annoying. Diane's outhouses are natural and something of an old landmark... seeing it from here :)
