Despite love of trash, I'd never done a whole piece with it--just stuck bits into other pieces. Here's my first experiment (done using Hamburg trash from Erni and Diane trash from Diane). Oh, and it's on an 8x6" matboard used for tests and pen marks etc in the studio several years ago--in other words, it's done on trash! It was pretty disorienting not to use ANY of my usual stuff. And when I ripped the main section I wanted from Erni's poster, it looked so beautiful by itself that I felt like slapping it on the wall and just let it hang there being its beautiful self.

I recently made a Bat Mitzvah gift out of scrabble letters as a memory box. Thom! Go to town with that scrabble set!

Thanks Diane, you also have a good weekend!
I'll keep my eye out for scrabble tiles!

Amy, your trashpo is excellent! like that as a trashpo motto -where people tell you your art is garbage and it's a compliment.

Thom, they always have scrabble at the thrift stores. I stockpile the tiles to make jewelry out of them

hope you guys have a good weekend

Yesterday I found a complete Scrabble board game sitting next to my neighbors trash can.  It's old-school... the most recent copyright date on it is 1976!  There was even an old copy of "The Official Scrabble Players Dictionary" stuck in the box!!  Am I going to invite friends over for a friendly match?  HECK NO!!!!  I'm gonna turn that baby into TRASHPO!
