What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

Gorgeous fabric postcard from Marguerite Keen today! It traveled without beautifully through the US postal system. What a wonderful card to receive on the first day of the lunar new year!

Thank you Marguerite!

Guys I'm just checking out the comments! You lot are my heroes! I think that should convince them they've done the right thing by taking this on!

The library has also said they are considering a more permanent mailart space afterwawrds, so this may turn into Londons first mailart space (that I know of) and it will be all thanks to you!

And my vote for graphic novel of recent times is Naoki Urasawas "Pluto" - I noticed that Martha had an Astro Boy pic on one of her recent heads, and if any of you have encountered Astro Boy you MUST read this!

I know what you mean Postmuse and I've spoken to them about it. It's quite hard to run things with some organisations as you know though, and I think my beset bet will be to run this in parallel on my REAL wall! It will piss them off a bit, but lets' get the conversation going!

What an insensitive boob I can be sometimes! Late last night I was reading the calls for an update and all I could think about was mailart. Yes, Australia is getting brutally whipped. Mad floods last week in Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania and now this week Queensland was hit by a Katrina strength cyclone! It's totally wretched. All is well in New South Wales, other than temperature and humidity both being in the 90's.

On a lighter note, I received two lovelies yesterday from PostMuse and Boo. thanks guys!

Brilliant alpha-folk!

Oh dear, the graphic novel list is growing long. I saw 'fun house' on the page. does anyone know if that's good?

Oh, and another graphic novel I found very, very difficult to read, but glad I did, Deogratias, A Tale of Rwanda by J.P. Stassen.

Another favorite graphic novel series ... fluff, but fun ... Y: The Last Man by Brian Vaughn.
