Even though it makes sense that we can look on each others profiles, you may want to add your address here and any blogs or other accounts you want highlighted. This way it's in a closed environment and we all get to share.

What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

I love the vellum in your card Katerina. I have such a hard time with vellum.

I shall be doing some letters of the "Latin" alphabet (as opposed to the "Greek" which I will do for March ;-)..after I finish a few hearts and flowers and the five-first-days of February's trip to the Greek Island of Ithaca. And it is ok not to do ALL the 26 letters, and not necessarily in order? For example B before A and then V before K, etc. Somewhat "Fluxus"!

February 1-5 was to Ithaca ;-)

Thanks, everyone. I guess I just missed it.

HI Pamela,

The month of alphabet came about, as an optional theme. Begin with !, end with a comma, and put the 26 letters in the middle. With 28 days, Feb was the perfect home for this idea.

As always, you can participate, or not, or mix in when it suits you!

Enjoy!

I think it was Dewi who suggested alphabet.

I'm so pleased that my cards have actually been displayed in the Museum of Ornamental Post!

Pamela, you'll have to go back several pages to see the suggestion of an alphabet month. Not everyone is doing it, but for me it's a good focus. I can't remember who suggested this? Anyone? Who?

Mail art in the mailbox: A great decorated envelope from Juli Davis in Wyoming full of goodies, and a great card from Cheryl in Calif! Keep 'em coming, folks! I share a mailbox with my niece who lives across the road, and she stands outside in the cold every day to look at my cards, then puts them back in the mailbox for me, so you're thrilling two people at once!

Ok, everyone--I am confused. I just heard through the grapevine that February is alphabet month at Mailart365 -- but how do we know that? I don't see anything about it written here...but then I see the above C is for Collage....what am I missing?

Hi all,

It has been very snowy here, and with being away, I have fallen into major discombobulation. So, I want to thank everyone for everything. I may have already thanked you before, and I might be forgetting something.

Boo - thanks for the collage (#214?) It's great!

LadyL - oh my goodness, what a project that must be with all that hardware!

LPlate - smoking came. Wonderfully scary.

Dewi - beautiful blue - I will answer your question in my next mailing... (mysterious suspense...)

See, I got a bit disorganized, trying to tabulate everything, and put it on My REAL Wall (photo to come), and enter it into my database, and oh dear, I think I should just go back to the right brain and forget about all these spreadsheets.

Meanwhile, fun with alphabetic paint chips...

Thanks for all your wonderful, creative mail! It is delightful. And I really REALLY love that this group is supportive and non-judgemental. As a not-artistically-trained member, it's so nice to go gallavanting with you all!

PS - someone loaned me a roof rake. Got snow?

I'm curious Gabby, had your teacher read Maus before recommending it?
