Even though it makes sense that we can look on each others profiles, you may want to add your address here and any blogs or other accounts you want highlighted. This way it's in a closed environment and we all get to share.

What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

I just finished watching live-streaming on EtsyCommunity of Noah doing a workshop in Brooklyn NY USA. What he had to say just made me love our little Mail Art 365 group so much. Group hug!! We are doing it, we're being fearless, we're not stopping ourselves with prefectionism or judgements. How great is this?!

I sometimes wonder about that...

New layout now live!

Oh no, you mean you have a life other than Mail Art 365?

Hi Mim and Camel - the white background is unlikely to stay, but I can look into changing up the background over time. The one on playground for jay is a stock template with modifications, but the thumbnail wall doesn't have the functionality of the present template.

Both of us are superbusy at the moment, but if we get some time in the coming year we may see a lighter version of the template made, though I can't promise anything

That looks really good, love that we can see the names of the artists. Also, are we keeping the white background? It seems easier on the eye. Many thanks to you and Jay for accommodating this M.I. group of yours. (Mildly Insane)

By the way, for those of you not following the technical discussion forum, we have BIG news. My friend Jay, who is a technical wizard of the first order, has finally answered all your prayers. Coming soon is the thumbnail previews you've all been asking for! At the moment it only works fully for the front page (else loading times would be horrendous)

You can preview what this is gonna look like at http://playgroundforandy.blogspot.com/

In addition, we may retain the thumbnails at the bottom of the posts if you like, but Jay has made it possible to add names - check it out at http://playgroundforjay.blogspot.com/

All feedback gratefully received!

Yeah there definutely seems to be a few of the 'mildly insane' out there from the number of applications I've had since the Postcrossing blog! I do intend to make sure that I personally welcome everyone, but we have about 10 new members.

Insane.

Oh yes, make no mistake, it does only appeal to the mildly insane!! That's all of us and I reckon there's heaps more out there!

I wondered who'd respond to that "mildly insane" remark. Funny, McFloozy, I agree.
