Even though it makes sense that we can look on each others profiles, you may want to add your address here and any blogs or other accounts you want highlighted. This way it's in a closed environment and we all get to share.

What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

The ink transfer never seems to work well on plastic. I have an idea and needed a victim er I mean another artist to mail it too, would you like to be my mail test post?

You might try glueing the rough side down, when I've used them they turned out quite nice. I have only done paper transfers. Would acetone work to transfer? Not sure. Sorry

I did use the as glued on images but it feels like there should be a way to transfer the image. One side is rough. I tried matte liquid medium but the transfer was quite awful.

I have used transparencies in my art work and glued them down using (Liquitex- gloss medium & varnish) that is the product. You can get it a Michaels or Jo-Ann in the painting supplies. However you need to something heavy to work on. It will curl up if you use card stock.

I discovered a collage sheet on transparency over the weekend. I've searched online, but haven't found a way to use the images. Have any of you lovely MA365 folk used transparencies in your art?

Bon Voyage, to us. We're off later today, in the late afternoon. We'll soon be seeing several dear friends, for the first time. I won't be able to post for awhile, but will continue to make Mail Art daily and take photos of it. Hopefully, I'll be able to mail it from wherever I am. On my blogger blog, I've posted a photo of my Mail Art Kit, for those interested. So long, for awhile. I'll miss all of you.
