Even though it makes sense that we can look on each others profiles, you may want to add your address here and any blogs or other accounts you want highlighted. This way it's in a closed environment and we all get to share.

What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

Sue & Laura -- your books are in the mail! I caught the post office before it's noon closing!

Sue Bowen, I agree with you about 1949 being a fine year. Many strong and astonishing women were born in that very year!

Poison, I didn't mean that you leave critiques. I thought you meant that some of the 20 comments you've received have been disheartening; and I was quite vexed that people were being mean and trying to counter their rudeness. Now on re-reading it, I see you meant you were disheartened because you didn't get more comments. What a relief to find out that we're all as nice as I thought. Also, I'd leave more comments, but I'm struggling to get caught up with the three daily projects I'm part of. But I love looking at the work and adore it hitting my mailbox. We rock.

Yes, I love it too that we will all have a record.  I'm so glad I learned to scan!

Paula, If it's not spoken for, I will be happy to take it off your hands and also reimburse you.  What you paid, mailing cost... 1949 was a very fine year!.

I'd would take Arabian Nights, my sister collects old books, I'd be happy to pay for postage. Thank you!

Also scored a copy of The Arabian Nights, with gorgeous illustrations inside. No publishing date, but there is an inscription in handwriting inside the front cover that says Dec. 25, 1907! Free to good home. Who wants it? First to ask gets it!!!!!!!!

SCORED AT A YARD SALE THIS MORNING! I have a copy of Standard Postage Stamp Catalogue: The Nations of Europe, Africa, Asia, and their Colonies (published 1949); over 1,000 pages thick. Great black & white illustrations of stamps throughout. One of those old musty-smelling books that I love picking up at yard sales! Will gladly mail the book to anyone with a love of such things! First to ask gets it! I couldn't just let it sit there, and have the guy trash it at the end of the day. So, who wants it?
