What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

I received so much Mail Art while away. I'm attempting to thank folks on their IUOMA pages but not finding everyone. Here are a few of the many: BrisChris, JJalltheway, ErinFae in Aukland, Juli, I'm a superhero, BrittanyUkelele, and Keira.

Lots more from IUOMA members who aren't 365ers. What a treasure. I'll be changing up my Real Wall with new cards and will post a photo of it. Also, I'll post a couple wedding pix, too.

Jennifer-jjalltheway sent me the fantastic cowboy card! Thank you so much, & can't wait to get your new address! Also, many thanks to Myrtle Hamilton, Katerina in Greece, Susan Wood, & Roberto Rios in Puerto Rico! My mail box was so happy today!

Great Mail Art 365 Day today in my mail box! Thank you Lady L, Patty Davidson, and Jennifer-jjalltheway. And hello to Mim! Some great "space" mail art, can't wait until one arrives via satellite or UFO  ;-)

Sewing is a beneficial skill.  You learn to design, measure, make patterns, construction, etc. and those are skills that translate well into life.  My brother has a couple of sewing machines too.  Even my Dad could sew.  At the very least they learn about mechanics.

Yesterday, I was unsure if my lightweight, inexpensive, machine could handle canvas that was painted and collaged on, but it did great!

The sewing goddesses were with me today!  In fact, I  have left my machine out, even though I am through with my project.  More sewing in my future with mail art though.  What luck to take it out of it's case and find it threaded and waiting.  Only problem I had was that I couldn't get it to run.  I found it helps if the foot pedal is plugged in.  I felt so dumb!  duh?

Katerina--received your lovely mailart on Friday and will be sending you back a 365 too. Not from Paris but from San Francisco.

Only 12, Mim? ;-) Good for you, and a great "Space" piece it is! Thank you so much for No.128 of 365 from Paris. It arrived in Greece today. And it is special...I blogged it on main page of IUOMA. Many thanks...and...'wish ya were here!
