What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

SuperHero--Mary Ann Moss is an artist in LA who has a great blog and teaches art to 2nd graders down there...if you look at her blog and in the archives look at Monkey Whispering you'll see some posts on the little kids and the art projects -- I think she is great with them. You may be inspired. They make collage journals among other stuff. Her blog is Dispatch From LA. And I have taught in the school too - I am a photographer and the kids could pick a photo from a big box full and then write a poem about the photo...they were great....hope this helps....

i will be making mail art with a group of kindergarteners, first and second graders at charlotte's school over the course of a couple weeks i think. i have bought some used children's books for collage, have some watercolor paper and watercolors, markers, pens, stamps, etc. they will be sending art they make off to their parents! if anyone has any ideas or suggestions for me, i am 300% all ears!

Boo, write a comment about the Marilyn Monroe stamp to Valentine Mark Herman. He is not at home in France yet, but he might check at IUOMA. He has asked for a US postage one.

I have a cancelled Marilyn Monroe stamp next to my laptop but can't remember who was looking for one. Holler and let me know. Boo

Got a great card from Sue today -- I think, Sue, that I had that card game when I was a kid! And I also got a great Easter egg from Petaluma, Calif., but I can't find a Petaluma address in our group list, so I'm not sure who it's from. But it was great -- my daughter and I stood by my kitchen island forever watching that capsule in a tupperware bowl of water! What fun!
