Even though it makes sense that we can look on each others profiles, you may want to add your address here and any blogs or other accounts you want highlighted. This way it's in a closed environment and we all get to share.

What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

No one's evacuating. We're completely surrounded by a floodwall & the river's crested. It's just interesting as heck to be here listening to all the rumors and paranoia!

Paula ... we are up here at the beginning of the Ohio and though we have nothing like the volume of water you have, we are seeing some minor flooding. I know you will heed all warnings of evacuation if it comes to that. Make sure you check when you can in so we don't worry too much.

And, If you flood, don't use the word "flood" when you call the insurance company. Say "water damage" and stick to that no matter what.

Wow, Paula.  I hope you will be ok.  Are you staying or evacuating?  Do you have flood insurance?  I flooded in the 2009 Nor'easter that hit the east coast.  If you have any damage, take lots of photos, and keep records of everything!

I hope you fare well.  Check in with us.  Hope you do not get any more rain on top of that saturated ground.  We are about to get some rain here right now.

The wolf's at the door, or more specific, the Ohio River. I live in a little town surrounded by a floodwall with three floodgates. All three are now in place -- there's only one road left to get in & out of town, and the floodwater is almost touching the pavement on it. The Ohio crested at midnight last night, so hopefully it'll start dropping. My ten mile drive to work became 30 miles today, as so many roads are now under water. First time in my life that all the floodgates have been closed. History in the making!

@ morrisey,  You were in the group I sent out today, but I sent your mail to your home address.  I wasn't sure when you would be getting out of school for the summer.
