What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

I've also decided to do as little as I can as slowly as I can -- being as how I'm ADHD, it's actually a spiritual practice. I didn't do very well at it while we were moving. We're far from settled, and the city garbage folks keep making up stories about when they pick up garbage, but I love this house -- The light falls the way it did in the house where I grew up.

Ha-ha, Boo!  I am going to print that out and put it in my "Fave Quotes" book.  As long as we are in the game, that's the important part, right?  And, please, don't hurt yourself!  :)

Mary Alice -- I'll see your "She Who Moves Slowly" and raise you a "She Who Trips over Her Own Feet."

Thank you JJ & Katerina.  I will tell him what you both said/  He had a great time rifling through my stuff (one of his favorite things to do) only he gets distracted and actually wants to read everything.  Katerina, I will tell him about the stamps.  He would perhaps design one for me, but I don't think I want the responsiblility of handing a 16 year old a carving knife.  I did tell him your stamp

looks like you.  :-)   He thought that was cool!

JJ, he is a couple of weeks away from turing 16 and is a rising JR, interested in engineering.  Next visit, we will make some more mail art and maybe I can talk him into parting with some of it.

I have a 10 year old coming Monday and I'll see if I can get him interested in mail art.  Painting or drawing maybe.

I'm behind in my mail, so hang in there.  There will be some outgoing from here soon!

What's this outgoing to prettylily?  I warn you....I must have a peek, after we return from breakfast.  I'll be back later today.  :-)

Kalimera! Great work by your grandson, Sue...get him to exchange with us ;-)

The feMAIL ARTist rubber stamp I designed but had made by a printing compay here in Greece. The IUOMA stamp is sold from Sticker Dude here at IUOMA. But the Mail Art 365 and all those small ones, I hand carve from erasers (lots of erasers!:

Cool! I'm dying to know the age of your grandson. Please tell him his work is lovely. Any chance we'll see more from him?

Also, looks like I may have my own address soon. Yippee! However Crisispanty is always happy to receive for me......hint hint ;)

Oh boy, I will look for it!  We have been very busy and his mail art turned out real nice.  I'm going to scan it for him today & email it to him, so I'll ask him if it's ok to show you guys.

Katerina,  R. wants to know if you carved your own stamps?  He especially liked your feMAILARTist one!  :-)  That one is a favorite of mine as well.  Enjoy that lovely beach & that olive tree.  My DH describes Greece as New Mexico, USA but by the water.  Beautiful everything!
