Even though it makes sense that we can look on each others profiles, you may want to add your address here and any blogs or other accounts you want highlighted. This way it's in a closed environment and we all get to share.

What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

JJ  - congrats on your own address!  Yaaay!

Just back from a fun-kind-of-busy weekend, so shall resume my daily posts + rush to catch up, and also resume my daily strolls through the Geezer Museum of Fine Mail Art 365, located in beautiful mid-town Internet, where I love to ooo and ahhh over the exhibits!  Admission is free!

Welcome Lisa. Hit "GROUPS" in the upper page on the right. Type in "Start Here at IUOMA", and you got a good listing of what to do, how to do it. Make art...mail it ;-)

'Love the monkey and the "starred" sunglasses, Scott-Positively Postal! Did you send it to Mim's friend at OP-TEA-CAL? fun piece! (And for some people, that "70" is very significant, right Mim? ;-)

S/W my mail carrier about mail addressed to "mabb,"  and the postcards returned to Mim and Laura.  He didn't recognize that as a resident of my apt. initially, then realized it was my initials - was trying to spare me unwanted mail!  But, after those first two, he got it, and delivered other "mabb" mail.  He's a great guy - always helpful.  We got it straightened out.

Found a book on world wide traffic signs. Will try to carve a few this weekend. These stamps are terrific. I love the eraser ones. What a great grandson to have fun with!

Thanks you guys!  I'll pass the message along to him.  He's leaving for scout camp this weekend.  And I finally looked into his room and I couldn't believe how tidy it is!  There is actually a workspace.  Too bad I don't have the time to pull everything out right now.  :-(  Instead I am going to jump over to the 365 and check out what you have been doing.

Boo, I love it that you new home has the same light as your childhood home.  How often does something like that happen!!!

"...as little as I can as slowly as I can...a spiritual practice..."  Yes, I hear you, most definitely.  Please do not even think twice about correspondence to me right now!  Your time will come.  (That might sound ominous, but not meant that way!  Meant more like the song from West Side Story...."There's a time for Boo, someday a time for Boo, She'll be making her mail-art..."

How lovely about the light in your new house...and how un-lovely about the garbage people...tsk, tsk!
